Prague 27. September 2022 - Eurowag, a leading provider of integrated road transport solutions in Europe, has been newly listed on the FTSE 250 stock index. The prestigious index of the London Stock Exchange is based on the market capitalisation of companies. Eurowag was founded by Czech entrepreneur Martin Vohánka, who is still the majority owner of the company.
Eurowag alongside world-famous brands
Eurowag floated on the London Stock Exchange under the name W.A.G. Payment Solutions less than a year ago, in October 2021. The firm replaced Frasers Group in the FTSE 250 index (known as the 'footsie' for short) this week. The composition of the FTSE 250 index is updated every quarter. The index includes some world-famous brands such as Aston Martin and Marks & Spencer.
Joining the FTSE 250 is an important milestone for us and consolidates Eurowag's position as a listed company. I am convinced that thanks to our cutting-edge technologies, broad portfolio of services and strong financial profile, we are best placed to build on these foundations and drive further attractive growth. says Martin Vohánka, founder and CEO of Eurowag.
The company aims for further growth
Eurowag recently published its results for the first half of this year. It has achieved sustained and convincing growth and confirmed its medium-term financial outlook. Eurowag creates products and services for international transport companies. Its unique technology solutions help carriers to digitise and increase profitability and efficiency. The company also aims to help reduce the environmental impact of commercial transport and accelerate the transition to low-carbon mobility.
Eurowag has been providing integrated mobility and payment services to international transport companies for more than 25 years. It has been one of the fastest growing companies in Europe in its field. Its mission is to make the operation of millions of trucks crossing Europe cleaner, fairer and more efficient. To this end, Eurowag offers its customers products and services based on modern digital technologies, ranging from conventional and alternative fuel payments, electric vehicle charging and toll payment, to tax refunds, telematics and navigation, to a range of financial services and advice on switching to alternative fuels and drives.
Eurowag also supports innovation in philanthropy. As part of the Philanthropy and You project, in which ¾ of the company's employees regularly participate, each Eurowag employee receives an individual budget for philanthropy, as well as complete confidence in how the money is handled. The project has already inspired several other large IT corporations to take similar action. For more information, visit www.eurowag.com.
