Eurowag, a leading European provider of technologies for the Commercial Road Transport (CRT) industry, has announced a phased rollout of its industry-first digital platform at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover.
September 16, 2024 – Eurowag Office aspires to provide a simple end-to-end digital platform to alleviate the pressures and inefficiencies faced by trucking companies today. Critical platform’s functionalities will be available free of charge for both new and existing Eurowag customers.
Eurowag Office aims to digitize and streamline the CRT sector, where 85% of companies currently use fragmented products and services from single providers in order to operate their fleets.
"Executing the transportation of goods across Europe is very complex. Drivers deal with over thirty administrative tasks and operate under constantly changing road conditions during every journey. At the same time, companies are facing fluctuating demands and ever-growing international regulatory intricacies. This is a problem, especially for smaller and midsize companies, which lack the modern tools for optimal operations, hindering their transition to a digital low carbon future,"
explains Martin Vohánka, CEO of Eurowag.
"That's why we have created a solution, a super app, that aims to totally digitize all processes and enable fair, clean, and efficient freight transport operations."
Eurowag Office will be the first digital self-service platform to provide an alternative to the outdated analogue systems still used by trucking companies. As a user-friendly platform, Eurowag Office has been designed with four interfaces to suit all users. It is a desk-top app with full suite of tools to help manage businesses with tasks such as payments, finances, analytics, management of individual vehicles, invoices, and complex driver agendas. Eurowag Office also operates as a mobile app for both Owners and Dispatchers for quick and easy access while on the road. The Driver´s app is centred around accurate professional truck navigation customized for both heavy duty non-electric and electric vehicles, providing everything drivers need to know from the beginning to end of their journey. The additional built-in add-on for cockpits, is being developed in cooperation with leading OEMs, which will provide easy access to relevant Eurowag Office functions in every newly manufactured truck.
"Having accurate maps at the heart of our platform and its applications is extremely important for transport companies. A truck driver is under time and cost pressure and, therefore, needs to have up-to-date information about routing, which effectively accommodates a number of competing objectives, such as time of delivery, traffic situation, resting time and available slot for e-charging. Additionally, the maps need to be tailored to the freight traffic, taking into account different weight or dimension criteria of the road infrastructure,"
explains Martin Strigač, Chief Product Officer at Eurowag.
The Eurowag Office will combine multiple individual solutions, which cover the bulk of mission-critical services trucking companies need to operate their fleet. These have been developed or acquired by Eurowag during the last five years with the aim to capture all relevant data. A phased migration of available services include fleet, work-time and transport management solutions, tax refunds, energy payments via traditional cards or mobile app, including low carbon fuels and e-charging, foreign currency exchange, cash-flow optimization tools, a Europe-wide electronic toll service (EETS), road-side service and truck specific navigations.
An intelligent and simple design ensures a simplified user experience, with the ability to access numerous systems through a single, modern interface, using only one login. Existing customers can also access the new platform from their original application. There is no need to export and import data manually, as all the data flows across solutions to streamline fragmented workflows.
Anyone can try Eurowag Office for free. Users can digitally register as individuals and immediately start using the route planning and navigation offering. To benefit even more, customers can onboard their company and access Premium functionalities. In line with evolving the platform further, users will soon be able to make use of additional features such as innovative financing services, electronic Wallet, chat with drivers, and seamless transfer of documents between driver and dispatcher.
